  • Change the CVT transmission oil regularly, maybe every 30,000 kilometers. The chain/belt that transfers power requires fresh, clean oil to function properly. The frequency of oil changes should depend on the environment and climate in which you are driving. Even though Honda guarantees lifetime transmission oil but it’s not like that:

  • NO lifetime transmission fluid still needs to be replaced.
  • CVTs are not as reliable and durable as regular automatic transmissions, when the CVT is badly damaged you can have to replace it at a very high cost or sell your car at a low price.
