The DSG gearbox has the advantage of having a good power output because there is very minimal slippage in the clutch.

The mechatronic function is the brain that controls the work of DSG. If the mechatronic is damaged, there will be symptoms such as rough gear shifting, the car having no power, the damage indicator will light up and the worst condition can cause the car to be unable to move forward or backwards.

To solve the problem with the DSG gearbox, we need to do a mechatronic replacement. After doing the mechatronic replacement, we also need to do the mechatronic adaptation. This process aims to adjust the new mechatronic with clutch conditions, car settings, and so on.

1. Software Updates

The first cause can be software that has not been updated at the official workshop. This condition causes the transmission system to experience an error. Mechatronics is mechanical electronics. The system in the gearbox (automatic transmission) has electronics, one of the reasons is the software is not updated. If you have routine service at an official VW workshop, it always checks for software updates, you definitely don’t miss it, and there are no errors.

2. Lack of Maintenance

Apart from software updates, damage occurs due to a lack of maintenance such as changing transmission oil regularly. Hot conditions are also one of them, while the wet 6-speed is soaked in oil, it’s more durable, and the clutch lining is submerged.
