From the patents revealed, Great Wall has prepared a retro-style sedan. Seen from the four round headlights, coupled with a body with a box-shaped line pull.
It turns out that the patent has been leaked in cyberspace. The Carnewschina page reported it on September 13, 2021.
The design is reportedly the property of manufacturer Great Wall Motors under the WEY brand. This car is predicted to launch in the Chinese market in 2022.
This is the first sedan from WEY, but not the first produced by Great Wall, previously there were the Voolex C30, C50, and C70 brands.
Called a patent design this new car carries the “Suicide Door” door, ie the rear door is opened towards the rear or opposite to the direction the front door opens. Most of the door designs like this are used by luxury brand cars such as the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Opel Meriva.
There is no further information about the power that will be installed behind this sedan from WEY. Carnewschina mentions the possibility that WEY will immerse a 2,000 cc engine with PHEV technology that can spit out a maximum power of 515 hp.
Alternatively, the sedan will be fully electric, as there are no visible exhaust pipes at the rear.
Indonesia does attract Chinese automotive manufacturers. This year will be enlivened by the Chery brand.
Meanwhile, other brands, BYD, have also been broadcast and will follow suit. BYD doesn’t just sell cars in Indonesia. The Chinese car manufacturer will set up an industry in the country.
