The injector ring set on the Toyota 1KD and 2KD diesel engines is made of brass material. Why this material? The goal is to be softer than the injector material itself. One of the characteristics of the 1KD and 2KD engine ring set injectors that must be replaced immediately is the buildup of air pressure in the engine room. Its characteristics are that the air will gush very hard when the engine oil filling cap is opened when the engine is running.

1. Car Engine Difficult to Start
Let’s start with the signs of a damaged car diesel injector that are the easiest for us to recognize. The symptom is that it is difficult to start the engine. Why is it that when a car’s diesel injector breaks down the engine becomes difficult to start? This is because the supply of fuel into the combustion chamber is not smooth. Of course, the fuel that comes out of the injector is not up to standard. Or, it could be that the engine becomes difficult to start because the injector pressure decreases, due to worn or damaged injector conditions.
2. Car Engine Staggered
Then, even though the car has begun to be turned on, generally there will be signs of a damaged car diesel injector next. What’s that? The symptom is none other than the engine becoming choked. This condition is due to the supply of fuel that is not smooth. This, results in a machine whose performance is not stable, aka sometimes it turns on or sometimes it can also turn off by itself
To expedite the supply of fuel, then we have to make adjustments to the injector of the car. In addition, you can also replace the injector if it has a problem.
3. Fuel Inefficient
After the engine feels sluggish or cramped, then in terms of fuel consumption, it becomes inefficient. The meaning of less efficient fuel consumption is when fuel consumption becomes too economical or also too wasteful. This is none other than a problem with the car’s injector.
Wouldn’t fuel economy be good for the car? Fuel efficient but performance remains stable, maybe good for the car. However, in the case of a damaged car diesel injector, fuel consumption that is too economical will actually result in reduced engine power. That is why combustion is incomplete. The cause of this inefficient fuel intake is that the residual gas from combustion actually becomes crust at the end of the injector. This makes the injector unable to close or open properly.
4. Non-Optimal Performance
The injector serves as a component that serves as a fuel atomizer. If the injector has a problem, then it cannot supply enough fuel into the combustion chamber, and this results in less than optimal engine performance.
In order for the engine to work normally, each engine speed requires a different fuel intake with different capacities. For example, when the engine is in the start process, the engine requires more fuel than at idle which requires less fuel. And if the injector has a problem, then the fuel supply becomes irregular and causes the engine to turn off by itself.
5. Thick smoke comes out of the exhaust
Furthermore, the last sign of a faulty car diesel injector is easy to spot. The release of smoke from the exhaust hole is a sign of the fuel supply is too much. Where it is a sign of a wet combustion process, where the fuel mixture is more than the air. This results in the remaining gas produced turning black.
