Tesla Delays Cybertruck Production Again Due to Semiconductor Chip Crisis

Tesla Delays Cybertruck Production Again Due to Semiconductor Chip Crisis – One of the most eagerly awaited mass production of electric cars from Tesla is the Tesla Cybertruck. The delay last year was one of the barriers to being able to immediately see this car on the streets. But the pandemic clearly can’t be stopped even if it’s Tesla. Hoping this year can slide in the market but it’s unlikely to happen. The Tesla Cybertruck will be delayed again due to a “major” component issue.

Tesla Delays Cybertruck Production Again Due to Semiconductor Chip Crisis

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that his company will not launch a new model in 2022. The reason is that the ongoing semiconductor chip crisis has forced the US electric car manufacturer to postpone production of the Cybertruck until 2023.

The same applies to the Roadster, as reported by Paultan, Saturday (30/1/2022). However, other products are still questionable regarding production and delivery issues.

This Tesla Cybertruck has been postponed again, even though if it is according to the schedule this future electric truck could already be launched in 2019.

Nonetheless, Tesla did reveal a fleet of four new Semi trucks but didn’t mention anything in its fourth-quarter financial statements for 2021. “If we introduce new vehicles, our total vehicle production will decrease,” Musk said.

“We will not introduce a new vehicle model this year. It would not make sense,” he added.

For information, Tesla customers such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T, and GMC Hummer EV are already on sale in the United States, with the Chevrolet Silverado EV set to join next year.
